This policy explains what Proloquent collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Proloquent website and app.
Information we collect
- Account data — your email and authentication details.
- Practice data — the responses, written text, and audio recordings you submit, plus the resulting scores and feedback.
- Usage data — activity such as attempts, pages viewed, and device/browser information, collected to run and improve the Service.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service — scoring your work and returning feedback.
- To maintain your account, credits, and progress history.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
- To communicate with you about your account and support requests.
Service providers
We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf under contract, including cloud hosting and database providers, AI model providers (to generate feedback on your Writing and Speaking responses), a transactional email provider, and a payment processor. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
AI processing
Your Writing and Speaking responses are sent to AI model providers to generate feedback. Where a provider offers it, we opt out of having your submissions used to train their models and configure our integrations accordingly.
Data retention
We keep your account and practice data while your account is active. You can delete individual attempts, and you can ask us to delete your account and its associated data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise them, email support@proloquent.com.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
